I had been so excited about this newborn session for a while and was waiting to get the call that the baby had been born! Jessie and Drayton didn’t find out what they were having and decided to be surprised! I think surprises are so fun. From the second I walked into their house, everyone was so relaxed and welcoming. Jessie did a home birth and the house was already so clean! I was seriously impressed. Cora is the sweetest little addition to their family. Oliver, the firstborn boy, was adorable and walked me right over to his sister and pointed out her blanket. I love seeing a family with a newborn- everything is so exciting and new, and sometimes a tad overwhelming but the excitement is usually what is carrying the most weight.
One of my favorite parts of this newborn session was that Jessie actually grew up in this house. Can you even imagine all of the memories that she has stored up in this house? I loved the land that the house was on- plenty of room for kids to get outside and play in the beauty of nature that God made! Jessie’s mom also made it for the session and I love the images with her in them. Jessie is her only daughter and how precious to have these pictures forever with her grandkids? I look back through my pictures all of the time and recall the sweet memories. I love that this family will be able to do that with these pictures. Love these little toes. Grandparents have such a sweet love for their grandkids.I love the feel of baby snuggles.
I think they look alike here. I love this 3 generation photo- admiring the newest family member and dreaming about all of the memories they will make together. I had to take a couple of just Oliver. 🙂 I loved his happy personality!
