I was skyping with my sister-in-law a couple weeks ago and she mentioned wanting some family pictures taken. She lives in Colorado so we couldn’t really figure out a time to make it happen… haha. Then, I booked a last minute trip to Colorado for my sister’s newborn portraits and I texted Emily right away to see if we could work out a time. They drove an hour to come see me and I loved the time we spent together. This family is so special and I have loved all of the hangout time over the years. We all went to high school together and we have kids that are the same ages. I am so thankful that I get to call them family and that these kiddos are my nephews. They also love the Lord and are living that walk out in their neighborhood and in their own lives. They encourage me and challenge me to draw closer to Him.
For the pictures, we went to Welchester Tree Grant Park and it was perfect and close by to my sister’s house. I have always wanted to take pictures in tall grasses and I finally got my wish! My nephews are so sweet and they listened so well. They also got to explore and play around which was a lot of fun. After our shoot, they took me out to Chipotle and then dropped me off at the airport. I was in Colorado for 2.5 days but I filled my time! I am thankful to have ended my time catching up just a little bit. We don’t know when the next time we will get to see each other, so we are thankful for the time that we got! Crosby is the cutest little boy. He has recently learned to walk and didn’t want to be contained. 🙂 I love Will. He has grown up so much since the last time I saw him!
Cooper is so smart and I love to listen to him talk. I love when a family laughs together. I love this image of the two of them. They were high school sweethearts and are still in love. Emily is so pretty and has the most gorgeous eyes! This photo sums up this family so well! I love how playful and fun they are.
